Courageous Conversations: Ready to be Different

Courageous Conversations, the Andover Commission on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Memorial Hall Library invite the community to an online conversation.

  • Meet Andover's Commission on DEI

  • Hear their strategic plan

  • Ask your questions

  • Learn how to get involved

The Town of Andover recently completed a Diversity Audit to better understand the lived experiences of those who call Andover their home and/or place of work in the interest of working to combat racism and discrimination by supporting programs, initiatives, education, outreach, policies, and institutional change which contribute to an inclusive Andover.

In the hope of making sustained, concrete progress where social justice and equity are concerned, the Town is creating a series of working groups comprised of municipal representatives, Commission on DEI representatives and interested community members who, together, will help make Andover a safe, welcoming and culturally competent community. The Town recognizes this kind of systemic change takes everyone and welcomes interested individuals to consider joining in this most important work.

To register for this forum visit the Memorial Hall Library website.

DEI Community Forum

The Andover Commission for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion welcomes the community to join in a forum to learn about and provide input to their recently developed strategic plan. The strategic plan is focused on making sustained, concrete progress where social justice and equity are concerned across our community.

In addition to sharing the plan, there will be an opportunity for participants to sign up for working groups, which are being formed to help with implementation of the strategic plan.

For more details see the Town of Andover’s webpage.

Raise A Glass Annual Fundraiser

Once again we’re brewing some fun with Oak & Iron Brewing Company in Andover with a new social-distanced twist.

This year your ticket entitles you to your own ABC Fun Pack! Each Fun Pack includes ABC pint glasses and treats from Lu’s Cafe & Bakery, plus an option to include 4-packs of Oak & Iron beer. Select a time on June 9th to come to Oak & Iron Brewing Company to pick up your Fun Pack and select your brew.

Back at home, join us for a virtual gathering at 8:30PM as we come together to raise our glasses and hear a brief program update.

(Depending on COVID restrictions, you may be able to stay and enjoy a draft, but this would not be part of the ABC event.)
