To end the 2024–2025 school year, A Better Chance of Andover hosted its annual Scholar Celebration on June 1 — a joyful and heartfelt evening honoring the achievements and growth of our Scholars. In her first year as Executive Director, Lenis served as emcee, guiding the evening with warmth and pride. Our Resident Dierctor, Sandra, introduced each Scholar and shared thoughtful reflections before presenting fun and meaningful superlative awards, from “Strength of Character” to “Heartfelt Compassion.”

The highlight of the night was celebrating our graduating Senior, Janay, who will be attending Brown University in the fall. Her Academic Advisor, Delia, spoke about Janay’s exceptional academic accomplishments, and her host family, the Joyners, shared stories and laughs from their time together. Janay’s parents were also in attendance and offered heartfelt words of gratitude to the program. She closed the celebration with a touching speech reflecting on her four-year journey and the lasting impact of her ABC experience.
