A Night to Remember: Celebrating our Scholars

This year’s annual Scholar Celebration, held on June 1st, was a joyful and heartfelt evening honoring the achievements and growth of our Scholars. In her first year as Executive Director, Lenis served as emcee, helping guide the evening with warmth and pride. Sandra introduced each Scholar and shared a thoughtful reflection, then presented fun and meaningful superlative awards, such as “Strength of Character” to “Heartfelt Compassion.”

The highlight of the night was celebrating our graduating Senior, Janay. Her Academic Advisor, Delia, spoke about Janay’s exceptional academic accomplishments, and her host family, the Joyners, shared stories and laughs from their time together. Janay’s parents were also in attendance and offered words of gratitude to the program. Janay closed the celebration with a touching speech that reflected on her four-year journey and the lasting impact of her ABC experience.

Open your Home, Change a Life

Host Families needed for Fall.

We’re looking for Host Families to welcome new Scholars this September. Hosting involves inviting a Scholar into your home one weekend a month — sharing meals, conversation, and everyday moments that help them feel part of a family.

Your involvement not only enriches their experience but also brings new perspectives and experiences into your own home.

Curious to learn more? Reach out today and discover how one weekend a month can create a lifetime of memories.

See what sets us apart. Let our video show you.
